Fully audited supply chain
We are proud to produce our products across a fully audited supply chain, which is accepted and backed by some of the largest brands and retailers. We understand the importance of a social and ethical complaint chain, which is why our manufacturing partners in China undertake an annual 4 Pillar SMETA audit. Our UK production site also undertakes an annual Fast Forward audit so each part of the chain is fully compliant which you can trust with confidence.
Ethical Sourcing Policy
Whilst recognising that overseas sourcing of fabrics and/or garments will offer substantial cost benefits, we are aware of the potential social impact that offshore supply can have. For this reason, we have issued a statement regarding humane manufacturing conditions in overseas countries in our Ethical Policy that we ensure are adhered to.
SL Black Label is committed to being a socially responsible organisation, taking into consideration the environmental, social, and economic footprint of our business on the local communities where we operate and aim to maximise the benefits and minimise any negative impact of our global operations. Using both SMETA and Fast Forward audit programmes we identify and mitigate risks within our supply chain to assess and monitor potential risk areas.
A written commitment has been obtained from all our manufacturers, confirming compliance with our statement on ethical sourcing and manufacturing. We will take all reasonable and practical steps, including regular factory visits by the company’s representatives, to ensure that the required standards are being met and sustained.
Product Testing
Alongside our China factories being audited our primary stock factory carries an OEKO-TEX 100 standard fabrics certification. All our stock styles are tested to be REACH compliant. You have our assurance that our products are compliant and are produced to the highest quality in a fully compliant supply chain.
